I was moved to Bintulu, Sarawak, Malaysia since July 1997.
What I felt during my stay here were shown below.
(You better buy a guide book of Malaysia)
I don't intend to make this webpages as trabellers guide book.
If you want, go straight to the book shop.
But there're few information for Bintulu or Sarawak,
so I sometimes try to introduce if I feel like to do so for Bintulu.

BUT, Rate: 1 US$ = 4.5 RM on Jan. 1998
AND, Rate: 1 US$ = 3.8 RM on Dec. 1998 Fixed
- DURIAN "The King of Fruits"
Durian might be worth for the first line to introduce.
I love Durian.
- Nasi Goren
Like Chinese Fryed rice.
With Egg and chili. I sometimes eat at Company's Canteen. about 3RM$B!#(B
- Mee Goren
"Mee" is noodle and "Goren" is Fryed or Sattyed. Right?
- Mee Sup
Noodle with Soup. about 2RM
- Kanpur Mee / Kama Mee
One kind of Mee Goren but rather simple.
Mix noodle with some onion flavoured soup a bit, then sattyed!?
- Food is very very cheep in Malaysia.
It's marvelous, you can have lunch only at 5RM (1US$++) with fruits also.

Almost imported brands. About 100Yen/Can (Still Cheep!)
Tiger, Anchor, Heineken, Carlsberg or Guiness are available.
Price around 55RM to 80 RM for 24Cans
- Soft Drinks
CokaCola/Sprite, Nestle or Pokka brand, and many kind of local one.
Cola is available at 18RM for 24Cans. Or others 1RM-1.5RM for 1Can.
Suntory Red (35RM), JohnyWalker (RED 45RM BLACK 90RM) etc imported one.
Local one; EWEIN WINERY(M) SDN.BHD. "Seven Stars" 27.50RM
Acceptable taste with alchol degree 38'(a little bit low in ratio)
SAHIP a local brand
It's a good cost performance one, at price 18-19RM
Another brand SHARP, I better not try again.
You can find DUNHILL or Marbolo everywhere. 3.6RM/Box(20pcs)
As Japanese brand "Mild Seven" is available but no "Long Peace" that's my favorite.
So I dare smoke out DUNHILL here.
- Marco Polo
They say the No.1 restraunt in Bintulu. Is that right?
With 10 person, eating Bajing Duck, everything; and drinking a lot, then about 500-600RM.
- Korean House
Korean style restraunt. We can eat something like Japanese food,
but actualy somewhat different.
SUKIYAKI, SYABU-SYABU, SUSHI and TENPURA are available.
- Kidurong Club
Restraunt inside Kidurong Golf Club.
Swimming pool is available and I often go swimming.
- Peace Garden
Chinese restraunt. Have some separated rooms.
Often used for the Bintulu Japanese Club.(Burned out on 4th Feb 1998.)
- Noble House Seafood Restraunt
Eating up and drinking up, then 40RM/person around that.
- Popular Corner
I heard the best among open style canteen. Is that right?
- Ngiu Kee
Biggest super market.
Everything available in Bintulu is available here. Right?
Located in Medan Jaya.
- Sing Kwong Market
Very near to my house here.
- Ta Kiong Market
Near to the Airport and beside the "night market".
Some Japanese food or brand are available.
I always buy Japonica Rice(made in California,USA) here.
- TAMU BINTULU
I rather call it Bintulu Center Market.
A lot of vesitables, fish and meat.
Pork is also available but just outside the market.

Vesitables and many kind of dishes are available. Also Watch, Clothes, Radios etc...

8RM for Cut, 10-14RM for Shampoo, 12RM for Ear Cleaning.

I drive this car here. Power train by Mitsubishi.
I feel like driving classic car for its handling design.

This one better. Based upon Mitsubishi Mirage.

- Basically, Don't get injured. Don't get sick.
